Xbox Madden Scores a Touchdown, while you Report Your Rival’s Dollars

You may need a crash course in football video game history, if hearing about all the innovations and improvements that Xbox Madden 10 offers still hasn't moved you. Sure, there's something not right about saying a current game is great merely because it blows away its ancestors. On the other hand, after a closer examination of the older football video games, it's easier to comprehend why Xbox Madden 10 has been at the center of such unadulterated adulation. From day one, football video games were what the original hardcore gamers wanted, back when the video game consoles were taking their first "baby steps" in the world. The bad news, though, was that video game technology was still in the "post-Pong" phase, and the games reflected those limitations. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one. The characters on the gridiron are more suited to a sci-fi shooter than a football video game. Rough, but true. The photo may be underwhelming, but the game itself is even more so. An early symptom of the low-tech nature of older video games was graphics that just blinked like crazy, rendering the action impossible to read. Sound effects didn't fare much better, with the "spectators" sounding more like a car with a busted muffler. Another disappointment - the screen didn't (or just couldn't) scroll. However, another participant in video game consoles entered the fray, and their football video game scored a touchdown. A serious effort was made with this next one, in order to give gamers a football video game closer to the real thing. It wasn't there yet, though. While it did tantalize the video game world with its improvements, it was still only a slight move in the right direction. Several years would pass before that came to pass. But this one, which was released in the late 80s, as part of the next generation of game consoles, really hit it big, to the point where people still love it. Over the years, this was the yardstick by which all football video games were measured. It's relatively simple to see why it was such a mega-popular hit - before this, nobody really attempted to make a football video game that was this sophisticated. This was the ultimate step up in football video games for a long time, so gamers really proclaimed this one the best football game out there, year after year. With the online revival, today's gamers are getting a taste of yesteryear - and loving it. However, it doesn't even come close to what Xbox Madden 10 offers.

Hard to believe how much these games have improved since they first came on the scene. We've had a few chuckles, but mocking less advanced video games isn't a productive use of our time. No need to keep harping on it. Those games had their weaknesses, but if it weren't for them, we wouldn't be playing Xbox Madden 10 today, so they did get the ball rolling. Xbox Madden 10 is the future of football video games, and the video game community is psyched that the future is looking so bright. The reviewers have spoken, and they're as stoked as the gamers, which is always a cause for celebration. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. EA Sports has really concocted a Super Bowl sized hit with Xbox Madden 10, as expected.

There are always going to be the haters, but pay no attention - Xbox Madden 10 rules. As great as Xbox sports video games offerings are, Xbox Madden 10 is at the top of the pack. Most of the gaming world agrees that this is the new standard by which the rest shall be judged. If you're really ready to show your stuff, you can separate yourself from the pack and face off for big bucks.

It's a great time to be an Xbox Madden 10 expert - now you can slug it out for some real money. Once you've reached your apex of acumen, you'll be the one scoring big - and filling up your wallet in the process.
